Flannelette & Jersey

Flannelette Sheets & Pillowcases from Yorkshire Linen Beds & More

Flannelette is ideal for the cooler nights.  Yorkshire Linen’s range 100% brushed cotton flat & fitted sheets and pillowcases are available in three subtle shades – white, cream and latte.

The luxury of flannelette is in its softness, not the richness of the feel, and it is not shiny, like satin. Many swear by flannelette sheets and pillowcases for the dense softness of the feel and the extra warmth compared to regular cotton sheets.

What is Flannelette?

Essentially, a flannelette sheet is a flannel sheet except it is always made of cotton, napped to create a flannel texture. Flannelette sheets are soft and luxurious to the touch, and very warm on chilly nights.

Care & Washing

These sheets and pillowcases are fully machine washable.  Use warm water. Do NOT wash flannel in hot water.

Use a mild detergent. Regular detergent can be used, but may cause the flannel to fade over time. Harsh detergents or those with bleach additives or alternatives should be avoided.

Wash the flannel on the permanent press or gentle cycle, depending on the item. It is best to keep the water temperature consistent, warm wash and warm rinse.

Add a fabric softener to the rinse cycle. If you don’t use fabric softener in your washing machine, a dryer sheet can be added to the drying cycle.

Flannel can be hung to dry or machine dried. If machine drying, remove promptly once the piece is dry. Do not over-dry the item or it will weaken the fabric. Drying on low or no heat helps to keep the fabric in good condition for a longer time and prevents both shrinking and shedding.
